I'm Micaela, a Northern California native. Having grown up in Sonoma County, I'm most inspired by the area's grounding sense of belonging. I'm shaped by the people I grew up with, the close-knit community that raised me, and the open landscapes that offer space to think and recharge. It's a place that reminds me where I come from, even when I'm chasing new opprotunities elsewhere.

I moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA, graduating Magna Cum Laude in Communications with a Film minor. In LA, I found a city alive with people taking bold risks to pursue what they love, which pushed me to do the same. I love being scrappy. Give me a task I know nothing about, and I'll figure it out.

That mindset has shaped my work across a wide range of creative and strategic roles: marketing coordination for a boutique agency, fashion PR, running social media for an interior design company, assisting for a small jewelry business, creating video content for a nonprofit, and sewing and selling bags for my own small business.

Now, I run I AM Fragrance, where I've learned every part of building a business from the ground up -- branding, building a website, social media, bookkeeping, hiring, sales, operations, product development -- and I'm still learning more every day. I love working hard, collaborating with others, and seeing an idea through to the finish line, whether it's a win or a lesson for next time.
